SSC Youth Services Department Announces Youth Quilt Project

The South Sioux City Public Library, 2121 Dakota Avenue, is in the midst of preparations for its fifth annual quilt show. Youth Services Librarian, Odessa Meyer, is offering youth the opportunity to be a part of the program this year.

If your child wishes to participate in the upcoming Quilt Show, they must come to the South Sioux City Public Library on Monday October 12th from 6:30 to 7:30. During our Family Fun Night each child will receive their own quilt square that will be a piece of the larger quilt. Each child will be able to design his or her own square with their own design. The Quilt Show will be held October 30 and 31.

If you would like more information on the Youth Quilt Project, please contact Youth Services Librarian, Odessa Meyer at 402-494-7545.

We still have opportunities for adults to show their quilts as well as doing quilt demonstrations. If you would like to find out how you can participate in the Fifth Annual South Sioux City Community Quilt Show, please call Dan Nieman at 402-494-7545.
