The Fifth Annual Siouxland Community Quilt Show Will Have You Seeing Stars

Star Quilts across America is theme for the 5th Annual Siouxland Community Quilt Show on October 30th and 31st. The show times are from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday October 30th and 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday October 31st. Assistant Director Dan Nieman will do a presentation on Quilt Literature at 12:00 p.m. Demonstrations presentations will be done by Jane Vereen at 1:00 p.m. and Pam Wendte at 2:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. will be a viewing of a film on a collection of the 100 Greatest Art Quilts of the 20th Century. Saturday at 10:00 a.m. we will present a film on the Chicago and the Philadelphia Schools of art quilting. 12:00 p.m. we will reprise the film on the100 Greatest Art Quilts of the 20th Century. Finally at 2:00 p.m. we will view a film based on a Whitney Otto novel in which a graduate student learns how our lives, like quilts are sewn together into a tapestry of community.
