Entrepreneurship is Developed at the Library

A library member had been searching for a job for several months.  The library staff were helpful, encouraging even cheer leading this member as weathered the job search market.  Yesterday this patron came to let us know that she had had a brainstorm.  She realized that the community had a need for a service she used to provide through another company.  She realized that she had the tools she needed to start a new business for herself.

This is tremendous news for us.  We know that in the postindustrial economy, that high paying "jobs" will continue to diminish.  Some of the best opportunities will be in creating economic opportunity for oneself.  It is exciting to know that the library has had a part in promoting job creation in the postindustrial economy.
