Discover What's Between the Covers at the Library

Adults have an opportunity to be a part of the Summer Reading Program, as do children.  Between the Covers is the title for this years’ Summer Reading Program for Adults.  You have two ways to participate and win prizes this year.  The first way is to read a book or listen to an audio book and write a one paragraph review for it.  For each review, your name will be put into a hat for prize drawings at the end of the summer.  A second way to win is to attend our special programs for adults and win door prizes at each event.

All-Adult Potluck
On June 11th adult library members are invited to get together for a potluck dinner at 5pm.  Adults are asked to bring a dish to share with everyone and their own dinner ware and enjoy a meal together.  We will have door prizes at this event.

Cover to Cover Discussion of The Brass Verdict
Cover to Cover book club will discuss the first half of the book The Brass Verdict on June 11th at 6:30pm in the coffee shop area.  Come for the potluck and stay for the book discussion.

John Byrne Band Concert
Dublin native, John Byrne will be in concert at the library for an acoustic concert on Thursday night June 14th at 7pm.  John’s first solo album After the Wake received critical acclaim in both the US and the UK.  His band, the John Byrne Band has sold out the World Café Live, in Philadelphia four separate times.  They have toured with The         Hothouse Flowers and the Young Dubliners to name a few. John and the Band performed the VIP reception for the Liberty Medal Presentation at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia before President Bill Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair alongside the Irish Tenors.
