What to do if your NOOK is not detected by Adobe Digital Editions

Getting the NOOK Color to work with the OverDrive ebook software has been challenging to many of our patrons.  This link will help you to with this task.

What to do if your NOOK is not detected by Adobe Digital Editions

When transferring titles to a NOOK, it is important to make sure your NOOK is connected to your computer before you open Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).
When a NOOK is recognized by ADE, a NOOK icon will display under 'Bookshelves' in 'Library View'.
Note: These instructions should help with any NOOK, such as the NOOK Color, NOOK Tablet, NOOK Simple Touch, etc.

If you are not able to see your NOOK icon under 'Bookshelves' in ADE

  1. Close out of ADE, and unplug your NOOK.
  2. Reconnect your NOOK, and wait a few moments.
  3. Open ADE (in 'Library View').
The 'Library View' button is in the top-left corner of the ADE window.
