Updated our Activities Page

We have recently updated our Activities page so that it contains all the activities remaining for September and October


Thursday, Sept 20,  5PM: Microsoft Publisher 2:  Learn how to use and modify Microsoft Publisher templates.
Monday, Sept 24,  5pm: Microsoft Word 3: We have learned all about saving, new documents, text editing, cut and paste and much more. In this class you will learn bullets, undo/redo, setting margins, page numbers, page breaks, headers/footers and print preview and printing your document.
Tuesday, Sept 25,  5:30pm: Clean Up Your Computer:  Is your computer running slower? Do pop-ups keep appearing? Does your computer randomly crash or freezes up? Then this may be the class for you.  Clean Up Your Computer shows you how to maintain your computer on both the outside and the inside. Learn what basic procedures and what free software you can use to improve the performance of your computer.
Wednesday, Sept 26,  11am: Windows Basics: We will start at the very beginning of Windows 7 with an introduction to the Desktop, Start Menu and the all new Taskbar.
Wednesday, Sept 26,  2pm: Facebook Basics:  This class will help you get up to speed on how to create, use and maintain a Facebook page of your own and understanding the privacy policies and settings.
Thursday, Sept 27,  5pm: Microsoft Publisher 3:  Learn how to create a variety of documents using Microsoft Publisher.
Thursday, Sept 27,  6pm: "B" Movie Night at the Bijou-  "Land Unknown"

Monday, Oct 1,  1pm: Hold On!%u2014How to use the online catalog to put a book on hold: So you are reading a really great book and want to get the next volume. Learn how to put that book on hold on a library book online.
Monday, Oct 1,  5pm: Know Your Computer: Would you like to learn the very basics of your computer? How about increase you computer vocabulary? This class will teach the very basics of computer knowledge. It will let you feel confident in knowing what all the components are on your computer.
Monday, Oct 1,    6:30pm: Microsoft Excel 1: Trying to make a spreadsheet? Need a little starting guidance? We can help. We will teach all about the worksheets in Excel, how to move around the worksheet, all about the cells in the worksheet (cut copy paste) inserting rows/columns, and saving all your hard work.
Tuesday, Oct 2,   10am: Windows Basic 2- With this class we will build on the knowledge of Windows Basic and learn more about the Start Menu, where you can launch any programs installed on your computer and also search for files (pictures, videos and music) We'll also demonstrate how to "pin" your favorite programs to the Start Menu or Taskbar.
Tuesday, Oct 2,    11am: Yahoo Messenger:  Do you have friends or family that live so far away you never get to see them. Yahoo Messenger provides you the opportunity to keep in contact with them for freeYahoo Messenger is a free instant messaging program that allows you to visually see, talk to and even send text messages to individuals all over the world. This class will teach you how to set up an account and what type of equipment you will need for your computer.

Your mouse and keyboard are the ways you communicate with your computer; the more you know the more you can make your computer work for you!
Monday, Oct 8,    6:30pm: Microsoft Excel 2: Did you know that Excel has a way to input math calculations right on your worksheet? There are ways to edit the cells in the worksheet such as alignments, borders, font changes, background, etc.
Tuesday, Oct 9,  10am: Windows Basic 3- Did you know that you can Aero Peek, Snap and Shake on your computer? If you don't know what we am talking about, stop in and let us show you some new ways of working with Windows to make it more productive.
Tuesday, Oct 9,  11am: Setting Up an Email Account:  If you never have had an email account this is the class for you. Learn about the different  free email service that is very easy to sign-up for and use.
