The library will show a classic musical explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. This movie and discussion will be on Tuesday October 16 at 7pm.
Twitter Basics (Monday Oct. 15 at 1pm) an introduction to signing-up, creating a profile and using the service to find friends and/ or use Twitter for a news source. Patrons will have the opportunity to have two Twitter friends by the end of the class.
Microsoft Excel 3 (Monday Oct. 15 at 6:30pm) If you need to insert a chart into an Excel worksheet, this class will teach you how. We will also talk about page breaks and printing your document.
Microsoft Word 1 (Tuesday Oct. 16 at 10am) We want you to become familiar with Microsoft Word 2007, so to begin we will start with basic terminology, how to accomplish everyday tasks such as creating a new document, saving a document, spell checking, change text and printing.
Know Your Computer (Tuesday Oct. 16 at 11am) would you like to learn the very basics of your computer? How about increase you computer vocabulary? This class will teach the very basics of computer knowledge. It will let you feel confident in knowing what all the components are on your computer.
Clean-up Your Computer (Tuesday Oct. 16 at 4pm) is your computer running slower? Do pop-ups keep appearing? Does your computer randomly crash or freezes up? Then this may be the class for you. Clean-up Your Computer shows you how to maintain your computer on both the outside and the inside. Learn what basic procedures and what free software you can use to improve the performance of your computer.
Microsoft Word 2 (Tuesday Oct.16 at 5:30pm) we will add to our knowledge from Word 1 and expand a little bit more. We will discuss the ruler, insert/overtype, cut and paste, using the clipboard, and paragraph styles.
Facebook Basics (Wednesday Oct. 17 at 2pm) this class will help you get up to speed on how to create, use and maintain a Facebook page of your own and understanding the privacy policies and settings.
E-Book Readers (Wednesday Oct.17 at 3pm) Covers what an e-Book reader is and provides hands on demonstration of some of the different kinds. Also teaches how to use Overdrive, a way to get e-Books through the Library.

Training Time The library will close at 5pm on October 18 and all day Friday October 19 for library staff training. We will reopen on Saturday October 20 at 9am.
Youth Activities: We have an excellent movie for Movie Monday at 3:30pm and are repeated on Saturday October 20 at 1pm. Other events include Alphabet Party (Monday at 6:30pm); Preschool Story Time (Tuesday at 1pm and Wednesday at 4:30pm) and Pat-a-Cake Pals (Thursday at 10pm).
