The following was published in the Dakota County Star newspaper on July 11th, 2013.
The library has multiple movies scheduled this week. Beat the heat and join us for one of the following.
Classic Movie and Discussion: The library will show a 1942 classic starring Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in a conflict between love and liberty; as a bitter night club owner helps a former lover and her husband escape from the Nazis. The Classic Movie and Discussion is held on Tuesday July 16th at 7:00 p.m.
Real to Reel Movie: Set in 1939, Bill Murray stars as Franklin D. Roosevelt in the story of the love affair between FDR and his distant cousin Margaret "Daisy" Suckley, centered on the weekend in 1939, when the King and Queen of the
Kingdom visited upstate New York. The Real to Reel movie will be shown

“The world is made of stories, not atoms,” as the poet said, and on Thursday, August 1, 2013, 6 to 8 pm, those who come to the writing workshop at the South Sioux City Public Library will get a chance to show how true that is.
Charley Kempthorne, a writer and
teacher who has made a career of helping people write the stories of their
life, will conduct a two hour workshop at the Library at that time.
Mad Science: Once again Mad Science will come to the library on Wednesday July 17th at 6:30 p.m. This year’s theme is Dig into
