.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WINTER WEATHER...
THERE WILL BE SOME MODERATION IN WIND CHILL VALUES FRIDAY
AFTERNOON...BUT OVERALL WIND CHILL READINGS WILL AVERAGE 15 BELOW
TO 30 DEGREES BELOW ZERO TODAY AND TONIGHT FOR THE AREA. WIND
CHILL ADVISORIES ARE IN EFFECT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

A PROLONGED PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW WILL OCCUR ACROSS THIS REGION
SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS THAT
THE HEAVIER SNOW WILL TRACK THROUGH NORTHWEST IOWA...WHERE ABOUT
FOUR INCHES OF SNOW COULD OCCUR. AMOUNTS WILL THEN STEADILY
DECREASE HEADING WESTWARD TO ABOUT AN INCH AND A HALF IN THE
HURON AND CHAMBERLAIN SOUTH DAKOTA AREAS.

AS THE SNOWFALL ENDS...ANOTHER ROUND OF ARCTIC AIR AND STRONG
WIND WILL OCCUR LATE SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY. THEREFORE WIND
CHILL VALUES WILL AVERAGE 20 BELOW TO 30 DEGREES BELOW
ZERO...ESPECIALLY LATE SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING. IN
ADDITION...THERE MAY BE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW ON MONDAY DUE TO
THE FRESH SNOWFALL WHICH WILL OCCUR EARLIER IN THE WEEKEND.
