Fiction Connection allows you to search for books you love in several ways.

Fiction Connection:  What Should I Read Next?
The South Sioux City Public Library offers readers a wonderful tool for finding your next favorite book.  It is called Fiction Connection.

Fiction Connection allows you to search for books you love in several ways.

Say that you have read a book that you love, say The Book Thief.

  • Type in the title, author, or ISBN,
  • Choose your field, or search all three and
  • Hit go.

You receive a list of books that are similar to the book you entered.

You also get a graph with your title in the center and a series of terms that relate to your book.  Click on one of these and you will get another list of titles you may like

ere I click “art” and get the following results.

With Fiction Connection you can also browse by literary elements.

Click on an element across the top.  Here we have chosen “Setting”.

Under setting we will select “frontier” and you get these results.

This tool is relatively simple to use and produces many good results.  When you find a book you like, check our library catalog to see if it is available and let us know if we can get it for you.

Click on “Databases”

Click on “Fiction Connection”

And enter the password that you can get through your librarian.

Happy reading.
